Frequently Asked Questions
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Let’s make it easier.
Here are some quick answers to help you know what to expect in therapy, whether this is your first time or it's been a while.
I work with men, women and couples navigating mid-life transitions, identity shifts, relationship and intimacy challenges, parenting, divorce, and healing from trauma. I specialize in helping clients who are carrying unresolved pain from childhood, or who feel stuck in repeating patterns and long to reconnect with their true self.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge.
It’s especially helpful if you’ve tried therapy before but still feel stuck. We’ll talk together about whether EMDR is the right fit and introduce it only when you feel ready and safe.
Therapy is a personal process and varies for everyone. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper healing and transformation.
We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress, and you always have the freedom to decide what pace and duration feel right for you.
My current fees are $250 for an individual 50-minute session and $300 for a couples 50-minute session. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask:
Do you offer reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT code 90837 (individual psychotherapy)?
Is there a deductible I must meet first?
